Best. Week. Ever.
You know you pray a lot while being a missionary when you start to sleep pray... 3 times this week i got up in the middle of the night, turned the light on, knelt down and started praying either thinking that it was time to get up or doing it in my sleep. Mind you that it was 2:30 AM every single time. My companion woke me up one of the times and asked if i was okay. haha! then i realized what i was doing. So i didn't get a ton of sleep this week but that's okay. (:
We had TWO investigators come to church yesterday. read it and weep. that's right. TWO. that's the first time on my mission i have had anyone come to church. it was super exciting even if we might have to drop one of them because she hasn't really been progressing at all. sad but it would have happened eventually. she has a bit of a memory problem and doesn't remember most of the things we teach her. In fact when we invited her to come to church she said she would then showed up on Tuesday wondering why no one was there... One of the ward members saw her and told us about it so we rang Jill up and told her church was on sunday then she said 'well today is sunday'. sad! i felt so bad. And the other girl that came is a referral from the ward which like not common to happen. in fact it like rarely happens. haha. and the only reason it did happen is because the girl is the members neighbor and knocked on their door wondering what they believed. crazy right?! you never know who notices what you do.
You are probably wondering why all of us VC sisters are holding flowers in that picture... It's only because we have the BEST VC directors EVER. They spoil us rotten. Every transfer we have a luncheon like last transfer we had one on the 24th of July. After our weekly VC training on Tuesday we had breakfast for lunch and it was to die for. we had homemade pancakes with homemade syrup, sausage, ham, an egg and potato casserole, strawberrys (or as the brtish call them straw-brys) and hot chocolate. it was the first time i have had a proper breakfast since i left home and it was amazing. pancake mix is ridiculously expensive here and you get barely any but that's how most stuff is here too. annoying. one reason i miss america you can get anything and everything in one store and get a lot of it for pretty cheap AND it won't go bad within the week. anyway! not only do they feed us they always give us something and this time is was flowers. (: so nice!
On our way home from seeing a less active we saw a red telephone booth! It was really exciting because you have to like hung them down here even though we are only like an hour and ten minutes from London. So of course we had to stop and take a picture with it even if it was covered in mud. (: All we have been doing this week is going through the ward list and trying to see all the less actives. It's kinda sad because no one in the ward including the bishop even knows who some of them are so we had no background info on most of them. We went and saw this guy named Peter and we didn't even know what to expect. We didn't even know how old he was. So we drive to this Farm in the middle of no where and knock on the farm house door and ask for peter since a lady answered. She was super confused as to why we were there which made us super confused. so she went and got peter who we found out to be down syndrome. the cutest guy in his 50's ever. he was so excited to see us even though he had no idea who or why we were there. Is he even supposed to be considered less active? idk but it was cool to talk with him a bit. We gave him a picture of the temple and he remembered it! How cute! it was a really cool experience even though it's not what we were expecting at all which now we know why the lady at the door was so confused.
All in all this week was good and i enjoyed it. (: especially all the rain we've been having! I love you all and miss you tons!

P.s. {fun fact for England} the faucets in the bathrooms here have separate cold and hot spouts so you either get to wash your hands in freezing cold water or scorching hot water. (: luckily the showers aren't like that. the kitchen sinks though don't mix the hot and cold together before coming out though so you get hot water on one side of the water coming out and cold on the other side. no warm. haha. (:
