Hiya!

"Hiya! Are you okay?" What in the world. people talk weird here. The first time... okay every time someone asks me if i'm okay i feel super... worried thinking do i not look okay? Like is there a reason they are asking me if i'm okay? Is it that obvious that i have been working my booty off? They have been asking me that ever since i got here and i didn't figure out what the heck they were asking until now. i know. i'm slow. apparently that's how they ask how you are doing. weird right?

Anyway! this week has been really good! So many good things happening with the Lord's work and it's just getting better and better. So we have a tiny visitor's center right? we had 10 tours... read it again... 10 tours along with like 50 members in the VC at once. oh my heck. yeah. talk about chaos. but good chaos. i love/hate when it's busy. there were only around 6 tours booked for missionaries that were bringing some investigators on saturday and 10 showed up within an hour then two more a couple hours later. it was crazy. it's super difficult with so many people in the vc because it get loud and there isn't enough room. The Spirit doesn't exactly feel there which makes me frustrated while giving a tour because i want the investigator to have the best experience possible. but what can ya do?

We have been seeing a Hindu lady, i think i have talked about her before, and she hasn't seemed to be progressing besides the fact that she is willing to meet with us every week. that's a step though. We met with her on Thursday and all 3 of her kids were home and i guess in her culture it's rude to have guests when there is children home but we didn't care and she knows that now. it's also rude to take them into public when they aren't on their best behavior so that is her excuse for not going to church, at lest with the two year old. The other two are old enough to go with their dad who got baptized like last year. We just have to get her to go to church which we couldn't figure out anything. On Sunday we were driving home from working in the VC and i asked my companion if she had been to the VC for a tour and she said no. When we got to our flat we were literally about to walk into the door when we get a phone call from her telling us that she was at the temple. We raced back over there and made sure we were there with her and her family. So crazy how that worked out! it gets better. They were there because she wanted a blessing. She was going to turn in some legal papers the next day (today) so she wanted everything to go smoothly. We instantly thought of a couple who are from india that work in the temple and just so happen to be in their area. They came over to the vc and they gave her a blessing and in her blessing it said that she would understand the teachings of the gospel. During that part i just wanted to die. We are now going to meet with her 3 times a week and hopefully have her willing to be baptized in 4 weeks. It's amazing how someone's heart can be softened by the Spirit.

I love what i am doing here and even though the work can be ridiculously hard and emotionally tough there is always blessing that come from it. When we show the dedication we have for the Lord we will be blessed. It's only after the trial of our faith when the blessings will come. I know that being here has blessed my life so much already and will continue to bless it later on. The things i am learning can't be described but there is no way i would be able to progress in such a way being at home. I can't see myself as a daughter, wife, or mother without this amazing growing experience. I am so grateful that i was in the situation i was when they changed the age to 19. If casey wouldn't have gone on his mission and set that standard knowing what he was doing would help our future i probably wouldn't be on my mission. And what a great opportunity we both would have missed not only for us but for our future. I know for a fact that i would have been stubborn enough not to go and him leaving is what softened my heart and i'm so grateful for that. (: Thank you all for all of the love and support you have shown me and also for your prayers! i miss you all so much and hope you are doing well! The church is true!
