I Wonder

Well well well. if it isn't Monday again... Thank goodness it was the last week of the temple being closed because i'm DYING to get in there! Plus that also means that there will be more people during the week, at least that's what i'm hoping for!

It's been a CRAZY week though. I'm kinda glad the temple was closed because we wouldn't have been able to handle it with everything that went on.

I had so many things to get done here in the VC so we weren't out in the area very much. We've had a lot of miracles happen and we're hoping to see some progress with them.

We had a french girl come into the VC so sister Catogni was able to teach her. She just moved here from France as a nanny and so we're hoping to be able to meet with her soon!! While she was teaching her i was giving a garden tour to a guy from Romania that some sisters from the mission brought. It went really well! especially since we had an elder to translate.

Cool story:

Elder Blair and Foster were leaving their house to go contacting and felt like they should go a different way to high street (main street) so they did and they ran into a lady called Silvia that didn't speak English, only Spanish. Neither of them speak Spanish so they got her phone number and address. The poor lady probably didn't even know what she was getting herself into!

Sister Catogni speaks Spanish so the elders gave us her information and we set up an appointment with her. Luckily she knew a little bit of what the elders were about.

So we saw her with one of the members from our ward who is from Mexico and it was amazing! And believe it or not... I understood everything! It was so cool!

They taught her the restoration and in the middle of the lesson she explains her side of the story of meeting the elders.

She left her house with her baby because she was depressed and sad about some things and just started walking. She ended up getting lost and couldn't even figure out where she was on her iPhone. She said a prayer asking God to help her and as soon as she finished she saw the elders.

They invited her to be baptized at the end and she said yes!

The sad thing is that her husband is really catholic and we got a text from her today saying that she doesn't want to meet with us anymore because it's causing too many problems with her husband and is sad because she felt something.

Really really sad that we can't teach her anymore. Keep her in your prayers. Maybe one day she will be able to see the missionaries again.

Life goes on! They announced Rex's baptism in church and it was music to my ears! It's actually going to happen! This is the closest we've ever gotten with him and i'm positive that it will go through. (: thank you for praying for him!

Friday night we had a WWI fireside and we sang 'Jerusalem' and had everyone in tears. It was great(: As you can see we took a lot of pictures while we were waiting for the guests of honor to arrive, Lord and Lady Teviot.

Turns out my hip only partially dislocated so you can all stop freaking out(: plus it's feeling a ton better! No more crazy sharp pains but it's not back to normal yet. They think it has something to do with my ligaments but who knows.

I hope everyone is doing great! I love you(:
