Rain Dance!

Hey everyone!
This week has been a pretty good week. (: We celebrated the 24th of July by having a nice bbq in the sunshine. It was also our visitor's center director, Elder Carpenter's birthday so all the more reason to have a party! That night we went knocking on some doors and one lady literally slammed the door in our face as soon as we said missionary. lol. i just laughed. people like that actually make the work interesting! We knocked on another door and an old lady answered who kindly told us she wasn't interested and yet she talked to us for a good half hour. She doesn't believe in God or a life after this and when she told me that she didn't believe that she would ever see her husband again who had died 5 years earlier i may or may not have shed a few tears... embarrassing i know but it just made my heart sink! It was weird but good because i managed to pull myself together and follow the spirit. We ended up giving her a Book of Mormon and sometime next week we'll drop by to see if she even read it. she kept telling us how fascinated she was with us and how she was not expecting to talk to us for that long. It's like there is a reason you let us stay and talk to you!! things can be a bit frustrating. (: we'll see how responds next time we see her even though she isn't expecting us back...

The Hindu lady we are teaching went to church yesterday!! it's a miracle!! it was only for the first hour but it totally counts. we are making some progress even if she only wants to meet with us once a week still. bummer right? but that's okay! we're getting somewhere.

My companion, Sister Cardona, went on exchanges twice this week so i was in the visitor's center with my companion from the mtc for both of those days since her companion had to go with mine. it's complicated. sorry. That's not the point though. I got 7 new investigators online and 2 of them are golden. I just found out the one from colorado went to church yesterday! AMAZING! He will totally get baptized. I didn't even have to ask him. It's amazing how some people are so prepared to hear the gospel.

We haven't gotten hardly any rain since i've been here but we finally had a huge storm. It was amazing. It down poured for a solid 5 hours at least. i'm pretty sure arizona was getting more than us and they are the ones in the desert. It will come later though so i guess i should be grateful for the sunshine. i'm just not used to rain so it's so exciting when it does rain! I LOVE THE RAIN! i might regret saying that in a couple of months but who cares!

I'm so grateful to be a tool in the Lord's hands. i love you all and hope you are doing wonderful!! Here is my favorite mormon message video right now for you to enjoy. (:

Love,
Sister Stewart

P.S. If you haven't watched the work of salvation broadcast go to lds.org right now and watch it. (: it's amazing!
